If you are interested in stepping into a new role by becoming a conservation coach or improving your coaching skills, CCNet Europe is providing the perfect opportunity next spring.
Who is this for? The training is designed for people who are familiar with the Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation (Open Standards) and who are interested in becoming Conservation Coaches guiding teams through the adaptive management process.
Who will provide training? Trainers will be John Morrison (WWF US & Global Lead CCNet) and Xavier Escuté (Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera & Co-Lead CCNet Europe). We’ll hopefully also have a Swedish trainer joining the team.
When? 31 March – 5 April 2019
Where? Vålådalens Fjällstation, Sweden. Closest airport: Östersund
What will you get from attending a CCNet Conservation Coach Training?
Strengthen your skills and experience as a facilitator and coach leading and supporting teams with diverse needs through planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation, and learning processes in conservation and sustainable development projects. The training will prepare you to teach practitioners and teams the basic principles of the Open Standards, help teams identify strategies, develop measures, explicitly articulate and capture a team’s uncertainties, and encourage ongoing assessment, learning and continuity of effort.
Besides having a great time interacting with committed conservation colleagues at the training, once you complete the course you will join a global network of more than 600 CCNet coaches who help teams do better, smarter conservation that achieves tangible results, benefiting people and nature globally.
