During April 10-14, 2023, twenty four Latin American professionals were trained as CCNet conservation coaches by Cristina Lasch (TNC) and Irina Montenegro (WWF-US) from the CCNet Regional Network for Latin America. WWF and The Nature Conservancy sponsored this course which included the translation of all training materials to Spanish. Participants included a nice mix of colleagues who are in their early conservation careers and more seasoned practitioners, representatives from government agencies (i.e., Ministry of Environment and CONAF), NGOs, and consultants from Chile, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay, who came to the Valdivian Coastal Reserve in southern Chile to take part in the training. A participant’s list can be found here.
