The proven value of the Open Standards to conservation project design and management is prompting widespread adoption and a need for support and training all over the world. There is no other entity addressing these needs in the form that CCNet does or with a global collaborative approach. Demand for CCNet coaches is much greater than supply, and the increasing complexity of conservation projects also increases the need for advanced skills training for existing coaches.
At the same time, the world economic crisis has greatly reduced funding for conservation projects and has prompted cuts in staff at NGOs worldwide. This makes training and supporting coaches who can work across organizations and help teams develop the most promising strategies more critical than ever.
